Italy’s fears of a Spain-Croatia conspiracy proved to be unfounded, but that didn’t stop their fans from having a little fun with it Monday night. Signs suggesting a “biscotto” could be seen throughout Poznan Municipal Stadium, where the Azzurri put their suspicions aside and took care of business against Ireland, earning a 2-0 win that got them into the quarterfinals.
For Ireland it was three losses in as many games at Euro 2012, making them the worst team of the tournament. The Irish fans were another story, and stole the show from the stands one last time at Euro 2012.
As defending Europeans champs, Spain have a leg up on the competition. The same goes for this supporter of La Roja at the Gdansk Arena.
